Little Annsley

Now remember Leigh and Justin? This is their baby. Is she not absolutely beautiful? She was such a good sport too. She let us move her around, dress her over and over.......barely fussed at all. I think she was meant to be a model! We had a fun time taking her pictures. Stay tuned because I am not finished with the rest of the pictures....more to come!

13 Going On ?

This is my daughter's friend. She is such a sweet and beautiful young girl. Her mom wanted some pictures of her after she had turned 13 and I was honored to do it. We went to beautiful Cragfont to capture these shots. Thank you Cragfont!

Leigh and Justin

This sweet couple was brave enough to let me do my first maternity session with them. They were such troopers! I admit this was done back in about February 09, but since this blog is new to me.....I am back tracking a bit. This was a great experience, I learned alot of do's and don'ts with this session. Thank you Leigh and Justin for being so patient!

Our Crew

This summer before John left for Iraq we spent a day in Gatlinburg, Tennessee. This is a picture I took of them admiring the tropical fish at Ripley's Aquarium. By the way, they have an AMAZING military discount there! Thank you Ripley's! That is close to my heart in a big way.

Ella Bella Baby

Last but not least, there is Ella. She is 1. I must say she is bound to be rotten due to the way we all baby her. She is such a good baby. Sleeps good.....loves to take her nap and go to bed at night. (Most of the time) She has a tender heart and has great love and adoration for her older siblings. Now I can definitely tell she is approaching 2 years old! She is now entering that age where she realizes she has her own ideas and opinions and she will let us know if she disagrees with us in a very loud and impossible to ignore way!

Emma Rose.....Emma Rose

Now this is our little EmmaRose. She is 3. Her grandma says that she adds "spice to life". And that surely is true. She is our little free spirit that seems to march to the beat of a different drum. She is creative and an excellent artist for her age. She is full of such wonder excitement....there are not enough words to describe this child of mine. She is larger than life!

Next Stop...John Andrew

Next is John Andrew. This is him after school one day He is our only "planned" child and also the only boy! Right now the only boy in the household with his daddy away. He started Kindergarden this year already reading about 4th grade level. There isn't a day that goes by that he doesn't amaze me with something he says or does. Yesterday he said very matter of factly, "Did you know scientists say that there used to be water on Mars? But now it is all dried up.....I know this is true because I read it in a nonfiction book." Children are such amazing gifts.

My Dana

Ok, after spending hours trying to organize my thoughts on how to start this blog, it came to be that there is no better place to start than with my daughter Dana. This is my 13 year old. She is not a typical teenager.....she is AMAZING! Right now we are coping with my husband John being deployed to Iraq for a year. In true Dana fashion, she has jumped right in to help take care of her little siblings and do her chores.....all the while juggling school, cheerleading, clubs, etc. She does all this without complaint and with a gracious heart. There is no rolling eyes, backtalking, or anything. She is a true gem and a girl growing into a beautiful young lady inside and out. I am blessed.
